Brahma Kumaris

The Brahma Kumaris is a global spiritual movement founded in 1937 by Brahma Baba (Lekhraj Kripalani) in India. Rooted in the teachings of Raja Yoga, the organisation focuses on self-transformation, meditation, and the development of inner peace. Central to its philosophy is the belief that the soul is eternal and that God is a supreme source of spiritual light and energy. The Brahma Kumaris emphasise values such as purity, peace, love, and spiritual discipline as essential for personal and social harmony.

Over the decades, the Brahma Kumaris has expanded to more than 130 countries, running spiritual centres, meditation programmes, and social initiatives. It plays an active role in promoting peace, women’s empowerment, and ethical leadership, and has consultative status with the United Nations. Through meditation, positive thinking, and value-based living, the organisation encourages individuals to reconnect with their spiritual identity and contribute to a more peaceful and balanced world.
